Sauce Haus Ltd is based in Cornwall and manufacture a range of flavourful vegan cooking sauces and pastes in sustainable eco-friendly packaging to individual consumers and the hospitality industry.
The business is headed up by founder and owner Ben Harris who is passionate about creating amazing food in a sustainable way.
The Challenge
As a new start up with little experience in the food industry Ben needed some expert help from the get-go. This was vital so he knew his sauces were going to be safe to eat, and to ensure he was following food safety rules to avoid hefty fines.
He was spending so much time researching what he needed to do on the internet to get his food safety right, there was little time left over to create his new products and get them to market!
The Benefits
Following Food Safety Logic’s advice Ben quickly developed his food safety information to underpin the safe production of his sauces. In fact from concept to trialling his products it took less than 4 months, which is impressive.
He made a significant time saving whilst setting up his business; and he has been able to implement a bespoke food safety system which he knows is fit for purpose ensuring his business is legal.

The Result
Sauce Haus are trialling their fantastic sauces and are nearly ready to launch. “I never thought I’d reach this point so soon – I thought it would take significantly longer” said Ben. When asked what advice he had for businesses like his he recommended finding someone who really knows their stuff.
